Canoe Trip
When: June 21
Where: Juniper Springs Recreation Area, Ocala National Forest
26701 E Highway 40
Silver Springs, FL 34488
Cost: $33.55/boat ($20 cash deposit per boat at pickup) – boats hold 2-3 people (up to 450 pounds)
Rules – no disposables, dogs or alcohol
We will meet at Sacred Heart GCS at 7:15 a.m.

CAST Casserole Prep Night

The group decided in Oct. to prepare 2 casseroles for the Quigley House Thanksgiving dinner.
Please let me know what ingredients you can contribute. We will meet at my house at 7 p.m. on Tues, Nov 20 to prepare the casseroles.
Sweet Potato Casserole & Garlic Mashed Potatoes Ingredients:
(2) 9 x 13 foil casserole dishes with lids - Michelle W.
(4) 29 oz cans of Yams (sweet potatoes) - ________________
(4) large eggs - ____________
(2) cups of sugar - Rebecca
(4) sticks of butter - Ryan & Christina
(1) cup of flour - Elise
(1) 8 oz package of whole pecans - Michelle W.
(2) 8 oz. pkg. of cream cheese __________
(1) 16 oz sour cream _________
(1) 5 lb bag of gold Idaho potatoes _________
Also, at the Oct meeting we agreed to adopt the 11 - 18 year-old children and the mother's of the Quigley House. Please pick-up a gift/gift card while you are out shopping this holiday season. Last year CAST was able to donate $5,000 worth of gifts last year! I have attached a list of items that are NOT allowed as well as suggested toys. Please have these gifts by Nov 30.

Let's go canoeing in Juniper Springs (Ocala National Forest)! All young adults are welocme!! What a way to spend the day with good friends and local wildlife down a seven-mile canoe run. We will depart Sat., Nov. 7 from Sacred Heart Catholic Church (GCS) at 8 a.m. and car pool to Juniper Springs. Entrance into the park is $4 per person Canoes are $33.50 to rent (2-3 people per canoe) - $20 deposit required. We will pack sandwiches and drinks - on the canoe trail there is a place to dock to have lunch and relax. Once we return to our vehicles we can grill hamburgers & hotdogs! Please let me know if you would like to go on this wonderful trip by Fri., Nov. 7 so we can reserve the canoes!

Alright, so I've made a few additions to the site that might interest everyone. First, the pictures from the Cinco de Mayo get together down in St. Augustine are posted in the - you guessed it - Picutres area. Also, if you want to keep up with our Theology of the Body group, I've posted the notes outine for the first meeting as well as the first two weeks worth of talks in the Downloads section. Finally, there's a new forum on the message board for our TOTB discussion. Anything else you'd like me to add?
